Today marks the return of the Hector Lassiter series. In
February 2011, ONE TRUE SENTENCE ended with Hector Lassiter falling into
darkness. (Call it an accidental metaphor.)
Today, Hector stepped back into the light with three simultaneous
releases: Two are flashbacks—the aforementioned ONE TRUE SENTENCE and TOROS & TORSOS, newly repackaged and augmented with some new features and extras
for book clubs.
The third novel is something else again: The first new
Hector Lassiter novel in three years, FOREVER’S JUST PRETEND.
FOREVER follows Hector out of the darkness, coming literally
right off the end of OTS and moving us from wintery Paris to sultry Key West.
The new novel, at its heart, is a love story—for the first
time, we see Hector Lassiter as husband and grandson: In addition to
introducing us to the first Mrs. Lassiter, FJP also gives readers their first
glimpse of a Lassiter blood relative—the person who raised an orphaned Hector
Lassiter to manhood.
You can read a sample of FJP here.
